The Hand Therapy Center offers evaluations, primary care and work conditioning. It is staffed by physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, occupational therapists, and occupational therapy assistants. These therapists work closely with the faculty physicians and fellows to improve patient function. A therapist is in the clinic each day to receive initial and follow-up patient referrals.

Services offered:

• Evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses or injury
• Joint Protection Program and Back-to-Work Program for patients who need special job-oriented therapy
• Computerized work capacity evaluations
• Ergonomic and safety evaluations for business and industry
• Educational programs

Two of the Christine M. Kleinert Institute's most visible services are The Hand Therapy Center and the Orthotic Care Center. These clinics help patients gain or regain optimal use of their hands and upper extremities. While many patients come to the centers following a visit to the hand surgeons at Kleinert Kutz, the therapy and orthotic services are available to any individual needing treatment.
